Specific focuses on intellectual property and technology matters, data privacy and security, contracts, corporate governance, employment law, public agencies law, and complex commercial litigation.
Representative engagements included:
- Won $120+ million verdict on behalf of shareholders over misuse of corporate trademarks in state bench trial;
- Tried $300+ million technology and construction dispute on behalf of MTA against Lockheed Martin (verdict pending);
- Won summary judgment for co-owner in small business in ownership dispute;
- Successfully appealed federal jury verdict, leading to dismissal of claims;
- Drafted, reviewed, and revised website terms and privacy policies; and
Advised clients and colleagues regarding IP and social media legal issues, including trademark prosecution and litigation.
Counsel, 2016-2018
Collected and evaluated scholarly writing on intellectual property as barrier to entry for World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO)-commissioned research project. Contributed to the final report, which was published by WIPO.
Advised clients on potential claims and defenses in substantive areas including copyright, trademark, contracts, and real estate. Assisted out-of-state counsel with New York State procedural requirements. Evaluated strategic needs of the firm for acquisition and retention of clients, and expansion of business.

- Conducting an internal investigation arising from allegations of stock options backdating at a medical services company
- Evaluating potential claims and litigation risk arising from misrepresentations discovered after the conclusion of a merger agreement on behalf of major healthcare products manufacturer
- Defending a major investment bank against a claw-back claim arising from large, complex bankruptcy, resulting in a favorable settlement.
- Engaging in research and strategy on behalf of major consumer electronics manufacturer in contract-based arbitration.
- Advising commercial real estate developer on options arising out of threatened default by major tenant.
